Primary Teacher Position

Start Date: August

Role and Requirements

As a primary teacher at the Earth School you will be working with children ages 3 to 6. Your roles will include preparing lessons/materials for the class; supervising and engaging in creative activities related to all areas of the curriculum; and tracking individual student's academic, social, and emotional progress in accordance with the school's record keeping and reporting systems. You will write academic reports, including all areas of the curriculum, as well as narrative descriptions of the student's overall progress, as well as develop and maintain trust relationships with students and a successful partnership with parents to create a school community where respectful and collaborative interactions are the norm.
 

This position is a great opportunity for trained and experienced Montessori, Waldorf, or Reggio Emilia teachers to join our school. Applicants with a teaching license and interest in alternative education approaches will also be considered. Applicants with a background in psychology, wilderness education, bilingual English/French speakers, and/or experience in multicultural environments have an advantage.

Elementary Teacher
